Features and Technical Data
Coverage

Each 44 lb bag will lay approximately 16 pieces of 8 inch by 8 inch Glass Block with a 3/8 inch mortar joint.

Preparation

All surfaces should be clean and free of oil, gas, paint, grease, etc before applying mix.

Directions

Empty contents of bag into a clean mixer, mortar-box or wheelbarrow. Add water while thoroughly mixing to the consistency of a heavy batter (drier than regular Mortar). Follow the instructions of the Glass Block manufacturer for the placement of anchors and spacers. Apply Mortar and lay courses, rake or finish joints before initial mortar set. All Mortar joints should be full and not furrowed. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove excess Mortar from the glass block before it hardens.

For best results

Always use clean equipment, tools and water. Avoid working in extreme heat. Use only when the temperature is 40ºF and rising. Machine mixing is recommended to develop maximum plasticity and workability. Curing time is 24 to 48 hours.
