Mortar Mix N

Use Mortar Mix N to lay blocks and brick ABOVE grade. This product has excellent board life and workability. Perfect for interior and exterior use.

One 30kg (66lb) bag of Mortar Mix N lays 14 standard block or 31 Max Brick with a 1cm (3/8”) joint.

A 30kg bag will use approximately 4 litres of potable water.

Empty the required amount of material into a mortar box, wheelbarrow or onto a smooth working surface.
Form a crater and add potable water, a little at a time, and mix thoroughly.
(AVOID A RUNNY MIXTURE)

Note: If the mixture is thick, then add more water, but avoid a runny mixture. Remixing reduces performance. Mortar should have full coverage on all surfaces for long lasting results.

For best results:

Do’s

Always use clean equipment, tools and potable water.
All surfaces should be clean and free of oil, gas, paint, grease, etc. before applying Mortar Mix.
A mechanical paddle-type mixer is recommended. Mix for 6 to 8 minutes.
Use a measurable container so the exact amounts are used for each batch.
In cooler weather, use warm (not hot) water.
Thoroughly dampen the brick, block or repair area before applying the new Mortar to prevent premature drying of the new material.
Keep the new Mortar damp for at least 3 days by occasional fine spraying of water.

Don’ts

Avoid working in extreme heat. Use only when the temperature is 5°C (41°F) and rising.

Mortar Mix N contains Portland Cement. Direct contact may irritate eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing (gloves, boots and safety glasses) when using this product. Wash exposed areas promptly with water. If any material gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical attention immediately.

DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.

KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.

Clean up is easy with soap and water.

Rinse tools before material hardens.
