PRE-MIX CONCRETE

Sand Mix

Use where concrete thickness will not exceed 5cm (2”)
(See Concrete Stone Mix for thickness greater than 5cm or 2”.)

SUGGESTED USES
Smooth out Concrete floors where the repair is less than 5cm (2”) thick.

Use where concrete will exceed 5cm (2”) thickness. 1 bag = ½ cubic foot
Bags needed per linear foot of concrete forming tubes:

6” uses ½ bag
8” uses 1 bag
10” uses 1 ¼ bag
12” uses 2 bags

A 30kg bag will use approximately 4 litres of potable water.

Empty the required amount of material into a mortar box, wheelbarrow, or onto a smooth working surface.
Form a crater and add potable water, a little at a time and mix thoroughly.
Note: If mixture is thick, then add more water but avoid a runny mixture.
When repairing concrete or filling cracks, square the edges and remove all loose material.
Dampen the area before applying fresh concrete.
Allow Sand Mix to set at least 24 hours, then dampen periodically with water for the first few days for the best results.

Note: Mixing with cold water will retard the set slightly in hot weather.

For best results:

Do’s

Apply freshly mixed Sand Mix as soon as possible.
When patching or resurfacing, it is important to clean and dampen the surface of the existing Concrete before applying the new material.
When applying new Concrete to old, a Liquid Bonding Agent should be applied.

Don’ts

Do not attempt to re-mix after the initial set.
Do not apply if the temperature is expected to fall below 5°C (41°F) within the next 24 hours.

Sand Mix contains Portland Cement. Direct contact my irritate eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing (gloves, boots and safety glasses) when using this product. Wash exposed areas promptly with water. If any material gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical attention immediately.

DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.

KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.

Clean up is easy with soap and water.

Rinse tools before material hardens.
